Dr. Perko has 25+ years of engineering experience and is a licensed professional engineer in 23 states. His project experience includes earth dams, slope stabilization, excavation shoring, earth retention, underpinning, dewatering systems, and foundation designs. He is the author of “Helical Piles: A Guide to Design and Installation”, John Wiley & Sons, September, 2009. As well as, over 40 technical publications on topics including earth anchors, shoring, helical piles, full displacement piles, soil shear strength, underground corrosion, deep foundations, and expansive soils.
He has served as chairman of the DFI Helical Foundations and Tie-Backs Committee, Lead consultant in preparation of ICC-ES document AC358, author of changes to 2009 IBC to include helical piles, and was an expert retained by Mueser Rutledge to assist with New York City Building Code helical pile addendum. Dr. Perko also recently served as a member of the Geo-Coalition which authored and proposed over 60 revisions to the 2018 IBC.

Ms. Hummel is the Engineering Manager at Magnum Geo-Solutions, LLC in Loveland, CO. She has experience designing projects utilizing helical pile, push pile, and micropile foundations and helical anchor and soil nail walls. Her primary responsibilities include helping Magnum customers and other design firms with foundation and earth retention projects utilizing helical piles nationwide. Some of her project experience includes design of machine foundations and equipment skids for mining and petro-chemical processing industries, excavation shoring, commercial foundation underpinning, and new commercial pile foundations. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with structural emphasis, from the University of Wyoming. She is a member of AISC, SSSBA and SEAC. Ms. Hummel is currently a registered professional engineer in 5 states.

Mr. Babcock is a Senior Engineer and Project Manager for Magnum Geo-Solutions, LLC in Loveland, CO. Steve holds professional engineering licenses in 13 states and provides engineering support for Magnum Piering’s product line, installation tools and custom assemblies. As Project Manager, Steve coordinates with clients and the engineering and manufacturing teams to complete various and complex projects in all markets.
Steve has been a practicing structural engineer since 2005 and has experience engineering industrial piperacks, equipment supports, refinery and processing installations as well as fossil and renewable power generation facilities. His expertise is in FEM analysis and structural steel design, connection design and detailed drawing production.
Mr. Babcock earned a Master and Bachelor degree in Civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering at Colorado State University and is also a professional member of AISC and AWS.

She regularly designs for projects utilizing helical piles, push piers and micropiles for underground and skid foundations in residential, commercial and oil & gas industries, as well as helical tie back anchors and soil nail retaining walls across the United States.
Ms. Myers is currently a member of ASCE and AISC and is currently a registered professional engineer in Colorado.
